Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Degree College

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government College was established in July 2009 to provide higher education to students of remote rural areas. The college campus is located south to the holy Ganga river, west to the district headquarters Kannauj, amidst lush green agricultural fields.

The college occupies a special place in Kannauj area ruled by Pals, Pratihars, Gaharwals, Mughals and British. Qualified and experienced teachers offer quality education to the students for bachelor degree in Arts, Science and Commerce Faculties.

Undergraduate courses in 12 subjects in Arts, Science and Commerce faculties are available. The college has sanctioned strength of 14 teachers, including principal, and 18 non-teaching staff.

Cultural and constructive programmes like National Cadet Core (girls), National Service Scheme, Rovers and Rangers, etc., are available for holistic personality development of students. As this is a government degree college, all the programmes and facilities provided by the Government are available in the college.

The college is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. The number of seats in the college is decided from time to time as per rules of the university.
